Yes. Door maintenance is essential to ensure problem free and safe operation at all times. It is also a requirement of: -
Regulation 5 of the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992.

Under European Directive 13241-1, it is mandatory for a maintenance record to be kept for each and every door with respect to their safe condition and operation. The directive covers the safety and performance of doors, gates and barriers located in areas in reach of people. Newly installed doors must also have a risk assessment in place for machinery in the workplace, covering its operational use, setting up and maintenance of the machinery, in accordance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
Industrial doors must be maintained annually, however, depending on the type of use, increased maintenance schedules should be considered. Speak to one of our team for further advise.
The maintenance schedule we offer is carried out by specially trained (competent person) engineers. All of which have successfully completed the DHF Door & Gate diploma and achieved NVQ Level 2 in Maintenance, Installation and Repair of Industrial Doors. Records are maintained in compliance with current regulations and a full report is given on completion for each asset. The report identifies any recommendations and works that maybe required.
